History of English Language:


The Department of English is both inspired by the richness of the humanist tradition and dedicated to innovative since the inception of new science degree college in 1994.our graduates enter career in academic and other professions, well prepared to meet and changing needs of society with creative historical perspective global awareness and outstanding communication skills.

The teaching of English was taken up with sincerity and dedication, headed by Md Ahmed khan,MA English ,B ed, diploma in CIFEL “Central institute of foreign language along with Roseline Charles,MA English B,ed, Samyuel Digvijay singh,MA English, Mahteja MA English and miss Radhika MA English B,ed. In full-fledge working hours. We represent the wide range of interest among the students towards English language development on creative writing by giving spontaneous questions.

The Department of English illustrates the interpretation of each and every vocabulary, it has been actively encouraging the students for bringing the apparent talent into light the new science degree college students not only excelled in academics but also well trained in seminars and debates as well.

The department undertakes an annual workshop for its students during their final year. The department is striving hard to give wings to its students so that they may glide like the lark to the height of academics.


VISSION

To provide appropriate teaching methods (classrooms, equipment, resources, and technology) that will lead to student retention and success.

To help students see themselves as professionals, as part of a discipline with skills and abilities valuable in the business, teaching, publishing, or post-graduate work.

To give students a sense of themselves as citizens of a larger community by encouraging participation in service learning.

To assure that students encounter creativity crucial to English studies through readings by professional writers, and their own creative and critical production and presentation.

Providing students an understanding of appreciation for the English language.

Providing students with creative writing and critical thinking skills useful not only in the academy but also in the world at large.

Offering opportunities to explore identity, values, manners, and morals.

MISSION

The overall mission of the English Department is to promote literacy-specifically the ability to read, write, and think critically. This mission includes the fostering of such technological literacy as information retrieval, research, and communication.

The English department at the New Science Degree College helps students build knowledge of the content and methods of literary studies, English education, and academic, professional, and creative writing. It also provides General Education in soft skills, personality development etc. In addition, our faculty is committed to an interdisciplinary approach to knowledge, evident in their involvement in programs such as interactive studies. Our graduates are well prepared for professional and graduate study and for lifelong learning. They pursue careers in education, research, business, law, government, and publishing. The Department's policies and its reading and writing, intensive curriculum demonstrate our commitment to the liberal arts.

Develop effective listening

A student who is excelled in academics without good communication his education will be in vain. .

English learners require instructional accommodations. ports or accommodations were needed .

Students to derive as much benefit from effective instructional practices as do their non-ELL peers.

Students achievement in our New Science Degree and pg college are unfazed of big stage they give seminars in the college hours some of the pictures as follows .

A.Jyothi Priya of Mecs EM has got the state first prize in English essay writing competition. It requires some sort of gumptions to do that the Spunk was pretty evident.

We the new science degree and pg college has a Placement cell we enhanced communication skills in English not only improved the social life of the students but also better job opportunities in the future for job interviews, as we all knew that most of the interview conduct in English. We infiltrate among the students the passion and constant practice towards English language Soft skills, because better English is better job opportunities. So there are immense job opportunities in English.

The importance of spoken English

The importance of spoken English increased manifold .it has over the years because there are many cases where one knows his subject well, but fails to communicate it properly .the practice of spoken English therefore, is quite essential. Learning English in a country like India where it is not a native language opens a number of opportunities for the individual In today’s corporate world, the need for effective communication has been recognized and accepted more than the technical knowledge.

Learning English is easy :-

English is actually the easiest language of the world to learn because there are so many resources available. As soon as you decide you want to learn there are thousands of resources on internet and in bookstores. And you will pickup conversational English in no time. Apart from that we must have certain determination to speak English with our friends and colleagues.

Use English whenever you can it’s as simple as that .

Think in English to improve your English and fluency.

The most natural way to learn English is through talking .

English newspapers are a good place to find passive constructs.

English has many irregular verbs you have to drill yourself on them .

Make sure that your English matches the occasion.

Pay attention to pronunciation .

You are never too young or too old to start.

Learn a few new words every day.

Listen English new at least once in a day on current situation .

Conclusion:

English as a language plays a vital role in shaping one’s personality. Starting from academia to industry the necessity of English is inevitable. Training in communicative English with a view to have the youngsters gainfully employed. This will ultimately benefit all the stakeholder, industry, government and economy by increasing the productivity and resulting in a higher GDP of the nation.
